Someone

Someone said we should draw a working plan,
And stop building castles in the air.
Someone said life is difficult out there,
And that we should step out of our comfort zones and sweat like real men,
Making us believe that life is a competition, and for one to succeed, you have to be the best.
Someone fed us all the negatives of the world,
Making us believe that life has got no chance for failures,
And a mind becomes what it believes.

But someone forgot:

Someone forgot to tell us that life is an individual journey,
And everyone is in a race at their own pace.
Someone forgot to tell us that we don't have to be the best,
That good is also enough,
And that the world has a place for us all.
Someone forgot to tell us that the world is friendly,
And that people should live their best lives.
Someone forgot to tell us to take a rest when we get tired,
And that sometimes it's okay to fail because humans try but still error,
And it's also okay to seek help too.
Someone forgot to tell us that by stepping out of our comfort zones, doesn't always mean success.
That success comes with a positive attitude.
Someone forgot that in making people compete with one another, a generation of cowards was being created.
A generation that believes that life is hard,
That it's not okay to fail,
That there's no way out of failure.

Someone should have saved someone from committing suicide had they told us that life is a gift, very easy and lovely.
Someone should have saved someone from depression had they told us that the world is friendly and that no one was ever declared a winner in this life.
Someone should have saved someone from heartbreaks had they told us that betrayal and rejection is real,
That we should neither love and trust too much nor expect too much from someone.

Someone should have saved someone had they shared this post.
