We're righteous with our sins covered,
Our faith null,
And God's promises to us void.
We're zeroed in on man,
And our call abandoned for man.
We zonk out during preachings,
But wait to the zero hour when it comes to partying,
We keep more cats than will catch the mice
And keep not to the path that God wants,
Yet we keep our fingers crossed for our lives,
We've kindled fires we can't put out,
Turning to the devil as being the lair,
Keeping a civil tongue towards God,
For Him to keep an eye on us,
Turning our backs on Him when things get back right,
We fast and pray not for Him,
But as a fast track to our success,
Maybe it's a curry favour
We claim to be righteous we are not,
Righteousness that makes us mean to our brothers,
Maybe that's why we're possessed with blood,
And hungry for power not His kingdom
Yet hallelujah is all we utter to hide ourselves in
Not knowing His face just turned to thunder,
