#father's day

Dad

Dad
I saw you but once in my life,
I know you are out there,
Somewhere,
And I wish sometimes you would come back,
Pick up from where we left like nothing happened,
I know you left after fighting with mum,
I contemplate each action that may have caused the fallout,
And I learn,
That my child may not follow the same fate,
You never taught me but that in itself is lesson enough for me,
However,
Thank you for life,
Thank you for existing,
And making it possible that I exist,
This father's day I wish you a happy one,
And to God the Father of the fatherless,
Who has been my father since you left,
Happy Father's Day.
Your son is now a painter,
Painting words in ink indelible,
For he writes poems that all may enjoy.
I have made you proud of me by making myself a proud man,

my pen has bled so listen to my heartwriting
