Deep Within Her

She makes typos in her love messages,
Yet,
Deep within her heart where he stays
Are vocabularies well punctuated,
All spelling the love she has stacked up for him.

Her hands tremble at his touch
Yet,
Deep within her mind she clutches tight
To memories of him and her
And the smiles they share.

Her sight is drawn to him in his presence
Yet,
Deep within her sight resides a dream,
A dream of them scaling heights only fathomed.

Her ears play dead to sounds when he speaks
Yet,
Deep within she falls asleep to lullabies
Sang by his form in her day's fantasies.
She has learnt to listen to the dead of silence
For his voice brings her world to vibrance.

Her lips are tied to his
Yet,
Daily she sing songs of love to birds of day
And stars of night,
In the evening breeze thoughts of him guide her next step
As she places her hand on her chest
Where he patiently stationed his sentry post.

To her, he is the epitome of a man,
A companion she waited for in silence,
The prayer she sent
And when the gods did answer
They gave what only matched their perfection:

Strength,
Care,
Romance,
Patience,
All carefully packaged in this gift and hand delivered to her step,
Who was she to step away?

With him she promised to dwell
Till eternity decided the end of their slate,
Till the knock of old age pushed down their beings,
But,
Still, her clock will reset,
For in her heart he forever remains.
