Forget You

I have tried to forget about you
To forget about how your lips tasted
I have tried to bury all memories of you
To erase you from my life
But like a delicate moth
I still yearn for your flame
And everytime I get burned
I still think you'll fall for me
I want to love me
I want to put me first
I want to forget you

Your warm eyes are just but a reminder of
all the good things I have lost
Your honey glazed lips are what keeps me sane
Your soothing kisses keep me aware lest I loose myself
Your touching words are my anchor to this world
they are what keep the monsters at bay
they are my saving grace
So please don't take her away from me
She is my world,
My star on the darkest nights,
I have loved her too fondly to ever forget her.
