Just Close Your Eyes
When the storm reels on you,
And your sight gets obscured,
That you walk on timidity,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see me by you,
'Cause beside you is where I will always be.
When the sun sets on you,
And darkness swallows your path,
That you stagger almost to fall,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see my alpenstock,
To aid you walk through the dark.
When hope vanishes from you,
That you see all the days hard and blue,
And nights dark and cold,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see my hand reaching for you,
To lift you through the hard days and cold nights.
When you feel deserted and lonesome,
And you call your friends but none is around,
That you start to lie down broken into pieces,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see my call come through,
'Cause I'll always be there for you.
When you feel sick and vincible,
And you seek for help and none is home,
That you lie down to wait for the end,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see me seated by you,
To help you ease past the sorrow.
When you yearn for love and affection,
And you wander not to find one,
That your heart hurts and bleeds,
Just close your eyes,
And you will see my hand give you a rose,
'Cause my heart is always with you.
