From me to you :
Its been a long time since, longer than my expectation,
Days flew and I felt high as the sky, or so I thought,
Darkness came and I promised myself a sunrise,
but it brought with it blinding light and freezing cold,
It seemed to whisper something I could only fathom.
Gone were the times when the sunrise was warm,
seeing your face in the morning always started my day
and made me guilty of impromptu smiles and waves,
waiting to see you at dusk accelerated my minutes to seconds,
seeing the steam from dinner with the sweet aroma,
poisoned by your scent made me wanna die in your arms,
and get buried deep within and get wasted with excitement.
Seeing you around the house made it look so big,
made me wanna explore its parts as much as you,
and you knew it, so you always put on a show,
and treated me with tenderness and patience that only a war nurse can give,
Then all disappeared, what remained was a far you and a broken me
The mornings became as dark as midnight,
only that there was the sun to spoil the 'fun',
The house was bigger than a mansion that I feared living there,
all I would see was haunting images of what we shared,
Sometimes I would answer 'baby', then realize I was talking to myself,
I tried to move on, but in all those I couldn't find you,
not meaning they were less of people,
but they had all but you.
I didn't just love you, I love the you and the you in you
I want us to hold hands again, and print our feet on the sand,
I want the birds to sing of us again,
I want the sunrise to smile at us again,
I want us to play silly games veiled with masks of childish lust,
I want our passion rekindled no angel can cool it,
I want us to hold tight no earthquake can crack,
I want to have you and you to have me
I know words won't turn your heart around,
But this I know, what we shared will,
The memories that reel in my mind as much as in yours,
The short breathes that take over you when you look at the pictures,
I know I know
Lets hold hands again and tell each other's ears :
'Happy Valentines'
