Like the monsoon winds,
Blowing from the far east across the ocean,
This too shall pass,
And we shall see some light again.
Soon we will go back to the beaches,
We shall swim and happily drown ourselves,
And we shall crowd in mosques and churches again,
We shall merry and sing songs of praise
Like prodigal sons, we shall do confession.
Soon we shall do the parties,
Soon we shall do those tight hugs and kisses,
There shall be no dread in visiting the aged,
Soon they shall understand they are loved.
Soon the tables shall turn,
And we shall defeat this pandemic,
United we are one,
Let's embrace peace, love and ethic.
But until then,
Let's sanitize our hands
Let's keep social distance,
Let's stay safe at our homes,
Together, we shall save innocent lives.
