Take me back to the time,
When we smiled and laughed,
When we held hands and walked to our future,
When our hearts were void of hate,
When nothing held us back,
When I was your one and only.

Take me back to the time,
When our mornings were brighter,
Accompanied by the joy of the singing birds,
When I was your crowned queen,
When you were mine to keep,
When I was your idea of perfection,
When our hearts were intertwined.

Take me back to the time,
When you called on to me in your sleep,
When you wiped away my tears,
When our castle was bright,
When the painted bricks in our castle were blue,
When I was your poison and antidote,
When I was your only addiction.

Take me back to the time,
When we wrote down our dreams,
When our ambitions called on to us,
When love surrounded us,
When you were mine on the dance floor,
When your sinful lips were all I tasted,
When your arms held me..protecting me,
Take me back please.

Take me back to the time,
When we lived in originality,
When we had no desire to shape us,
To morph into what they would accept,
When we only loved our outlook,
When there were no intruders,
To judge you and inflict self doubt,
Take me back to where we were sheltered,
From the harsh world, angry waves.
Take me back please.
